We are currently hiring an experienced family law paralegal for our Gastonia office. 

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting correspondence, discovery, and pleadings;
  • Establish project schedules and milestones;
  • Ensure all deadlines are met;
  • Coordinates the gathering of information, materials, documents, reports, and evidence;
  • Research and writing; 
  • Prepares hearing and trial notebooks; 
  • Maintains detailed and accurate daily billable hour records.  Goal requirements are to bill 1500 hours per year to client matters and collect two-and-one-half times annual compensation in client fees; 
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements: 

  • College degree
  • 3+ years of paralegal experience
  • Family law experience preferred
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and other computer software programs (i.e., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software.
  • Ability to navigate various electronic databases and document repositories. (i.e., document management software)
  • Experience with Adobe Pro helpful.
  • Experience with NetDocuments or other document management software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to deal courteously/effectively with others.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
  • Ability to assume progressive responsibilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Flexibility to adjust hours to meet operating needs
